interCaribbean Airways has announced major updates for March 2023. The Turks and Caicos based airline has added new flight routes and it is also scheduled to upgrade the aircraft servicing its existing Grenada-Barbados route. New Flight Routes
interCaribbean Airways recently announced the addition of a new flight service route connecting St. Kitts and Barbados. In a press release they stated “interCaribbean Airways is pleased to announce all new nonstop services from St Kitts to Barbados. These flights will connect with services to Dominica, Grenada, St Lucia, St Vincent and Georgetown, Guyana.”
The Service which commenced on March 12, 2023 now sees return flights from the Grantley Adams International Airport, Barbados to Robert Llewellyn Bradshaw International Airport, St. Kitts. The route is serviced by an Embraer-120 aircraft with a seating capacity of 30 seats and is currently flying three times per week on Sunday, Wednesday and Friday.
Marsha T. Henderson, St. Kitts & Nevis Minister of Tourism, stated “We are incredibly proud as interCaribbean Airways integrates St. Kitts in its current itinerary. As demand for travel increases, St. Kitts continues to build a strong reputation as a must-see destination. interCaribbean’s partnership significantly strengthens connectivity between our neighboring Caribbean brothers and sisters. We continue to stay committed to advancing airlift to the island.”
Chairman and Founder of the airline, Mr. Lyndon Gardiner, stated “Launching this new route during regional recovery demonstrates our commitment to facilitating intra-regional connectivity. We are pleased to extend region travel options by adding the beautiful destination of St Kitts and Nevis to our network.
The airline continues to make waves through the Caribbean as, effective March 12, 2023, the airline has also begun to offer non-stop flights between two of their existing destinations – St. Lucia and St. Vincent and The Grenadines. This service will bring the two destinations even closer by making it easier to travel without having a connecting flight.

Grenada to Barbados Upgrade
interCaribbean continues to deliver on its quality service within the Caribbean by catering to the needs of the islands. Its latest improvement is scheduled for today, March 16, 2023. It will be an upgrade of its aircraft servicing the Barbados to Grenada route from a 30-seater Embraer 120 plane to the larger and more modern ATR- 42 with 48 seats.
This new aircraft will deliver increased flight frequencies and will provide increased comfort and service reliability for passengers.
Lyndon Gardiner, Chairman of interCaribbean Airways stated “Grenada has a creative economy that thrives on its tourism and its educational services—all attractive to the would-be traveller. interCaribbean is proud of its accomplishments in helping to further government’s thrust to develop these and other areas. The new service will be introduced at a media conference today at the Maurice Bishop International Airport.
Following the media conference, Prime Minister Mitchell will lead a delegation of government officials, local business leaders and hoteliers to Barbados to promote trade and tourism in this important regional source market.
