Initially, the festival was celebrated to pull the crowds during the independence celebration of the islands, which culminates on 3rd November. Gradually, it became popular among people and emerged to be one of the most loved musical events in the country. The reason being, it offers various forms of musical fusion from different countries to the audience.

This crowd-puller festival is managed by the Dominica Festivals Committee (DFC).  All expenses of the festivals are borne by this committee only.

On this 3 day of Dominica’s World Creole Music Festival 2022, total of 26 acts will be performed and the schedule for those acts is like:

Friday night (first night): On the first day, you will see Davido, the African producer and singer, creating magic with his voice. Besides that, you’ll catch New Look of Haiti and Patrice Roberts of Trinidad and Tobago. The night will further get beautiful when Dominica’s own Colton T would make his debut at the World Creole Music Festival along with Dominican Bouyon artists WCK and Asa Bantan the Bouyon Boss.

Saturday Night (Night Two): The main spotlights for Saturday night are world-famous Reggae artist Buju Banton. Apart from that, many artists from Dominica such as Ophelia Marie, Extasy Band, Dominican music Legend Gordon Henderson, rising star Mel,  Linford John, Princess Lover, and Triple K Global. That’s not the end of the night. The night will get more beautiful when the power couple from Trinidad, Bunji Garlin, and Fay-Ann Lyons, as well as Oswald and Eric Virgil will grace the event.

Sunday Night (Night three): The third and most important night will be featuring the Caribbean’s reigning Soca Monarch, Mikael Guirand, and Mr. Killa. Tasha P and Signal Band will be from Dominica. Grammy-Award-winning artist Etana will also honor Dominica’s World Creole Music Festival 2022 along with Jamaican Reggae Artist Romain Virgo. To add further, St. Lucian Soca Artist Motto will complete Dominica’s World Creole Music Festival 2022 of Caribbean artists.
