What’s the Tour Like
Join us for an exhilarating full-day hiking adventure up Mount Liamuiga, the dormant volcano that rises to about 3,792 ft (1,156 m). The journey begins with a scenic drive through Basseterre and lush countryside roads out to the volcano’s base. From there you’ll hike through tropical rainforest, then into cloud forest, passing hanging vines, giant trees, and local flora and fauna. Along the way your guide will share knowledge about medicinal plants, wildlife and geological history. At the summit you’ll be rewarded with sweeping panoramic views of St. Kitts, the crater rim, and on clear days, neighboring islands in the distance. A light snack or refreshments will be provided at the top. After soaking in the views, you descend back down and return to your hotel or port, tired but inspired.
Be Prepared For
Good walking/hiking shoes (closed-toe), comfortable clothes, light jacket (for higher elevation/cloud forest), sunscreen, insect repellent, possibly rain gear. Moderate-to-high physical fitness required. Not recommended for those with serious health issues or mobility problems
