How does Global Entry work?

1. Go to the official Global Entry website and click on the “Apply Now” button.
2. Create a Trusted Traveler Programs (TTP) account by filling out the required information. This will include personal details, such as your name, date of birth, and citizenship.
3. Log in to your TTP account and complete the Global Entry application. This will require you to provide additional information about yourself, such as your employment history, travel history, and criminal background.
4. Pay the non-refundable application fee of $100. This can be paid using a credit card or other accepted payment methods.

5. Once your application has been submitted, you will receive a notification informing you if you have been conditionally approved. This means that your application has passed the initial screening process, and you are now eligible for an in-person interview.
6. Schedule an interview at a Global Entry Enrollment Center. This can be done through your TTP account. It’s important to note that there may be a waiting period before an interview slot becomes available.
7. Attend your interview and provide additional documentation, such as your passport and driver’s license. You will also be asked to provide biometric information, such as fingerprints.

8. After your interview, your application will be reviewed, and if approved, you will receive your Trusted Traveler Number (TTN). You can then start using the Global Entry kiosks at participating airports.
