Fly over the impressive Poás Volcano, one of the most important attractions near San José, and admire its enormous crater — considered one of the largest in the world — measuring 1.5 kilometers (0.9 miles) in diameter and approximately 300 meters (900 feet) deep. Surrounded by lush rainforest, the summit features the beautiful volcanic lagoon Laguna Botos, whose deep blue waters create a stunning contrast against the dense tropical forest.

Alternatively, discover the majestic Irazú Volcano, famously known as “El Coloso” (The Colossus) due to its powerful volcanic history. As the highest active volcano in Costa Rica, Irazú features several craters, including Diego de la Haya, a striking green crater lake with varying depths. On clear days, visitors may even enjoy the rare opportunity to view both the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans from the summit area.
